We are currently have the following vacancy.

Deputy Headteacher

We are a single form entry school, rated ‘good’ by Ofsted in October 2022. Our school has a strong Christian vision and a great sense of community. We work closely with a number of local groups, including St George’s CE Church. We have a highly supportive governing body who take staff well-being seriously. Our parent group and wider community are also engaged with and encouraging of the work of the school.

 Due to the promotion of the previous Deputy Head, we are seeking an excellent classroom practitioner with extensive primary experience to join our forward-looking team and continue our improvement journey. Candidates should have experience of teaching across the primary range in a variety of settings as well as improving teaching and learning, and raising standards. We are happy to be flexible for the right candidate and would consider a later start date as well as a part-time role for someone who we feel would be a significant asset to our team.

 We are looking for someone who:

· Is an excellent classroom teacher and can lead by example;

· Is committed to the school’s Christian vision of ensuring that all members of the community can flourish;

· Is determined to ensure that all pupils receive the provision and support they need to succeed;

· Understands a trauma informed approach to behaviour management and supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties;

· Is a strong team member who is able to establish good working relationships with colleagues and other members of the school community;

· Is able to provide support to the headteacher and deputise in her absence;

· Has the confidence and skills to handle challenging conversations with staff and parents;

· Has experience of handling safeguarding concerns.
