Absence and Illness

Prompt and regular attendance is crucial to children’s learning. The school has a legal obligation to record lateness and absence. Repeated lateness can amount to failure to attend school regularly. Poor attendance will be followed up by the school and may result in referral to the Education Investigation Service.

All absences must be reported to the School Office by 9.00am at the latest via email, telephone call or the ParentMail App

Children suffering from diarrhoea and vomiting should remain absent from school for 48 hours after the last incidence.

If your child requires medication while at school, you will need to complete a form giving school permission to administer the medicine.

Holidays in term time are not permitted. Leave of absence may be granted in exceptional circumstances.
